Female Ejaculation

Unless you have been living in a cave for the past few years you have to have heard rumors about the ability of women to ejaculate. You may have heard it referred to as "squirting" or "gushing" but it all boils down to the ability of a woman to ejaculate during sex or from masturbation. For many years most doctors dismissed this phenomenon as urinary incontinence. Unfortunately many doctors still hold to this baseless, unprofessional opinion. This is information we have struggled with for many years and feel we must weigh in on the subject once and for all. You might have guessed by now that my wife is one of these women.

Oddly enough she first discovered she could ejaculate the first time she had an orgasm, at age 27. We had struggled for years to help her break through what she called "a wall" that was holding her back from having an orgasm so she would regularly masturbate by herself to try and break down this psychological wall. The day it happened she came downstairs with a giant smile on her face that proclaimed her success but she then said she was going to call her older sister to ask her a question. This struck me odd so I coaxed her into telling me what was bothering her. Her question, of course, was "should I have a discharge when I have an orgasm". Since I had heard rumors about this we started the long process of trying to find out exactly what was happening.

In that time we were bombarded with information from so called "experts" that all said the same thing, she is urinating but it didn't look, smell or taste like urine! As her orgasms strengthened and became more frequent so did the amount of fluid she ejaculated. At the time she was only able to ejaculate from either masturbation or oral sex. Having her ejaculate while I performed oral sex on her solidified our notion that this was not urine, far from it! Over time she was able to orgasm, and ejaculate every time we had sex and in fact we soon found out she was multi-orgasmic, sometimes having 20+ orgasms within an hour. Over time we were able to bring her to orgasm if she performed clitoral stimulation while we had intercourse but there was a problem. She could not ejaculate while I was inside her, I literally would have to pull out for a few seconds to allow her to ejaculate before we could continue with intercourse. This strengthened our belief that there was no way this was urine.

Finally after many many years of trying we were able to bring her to orgasm without me having to pull out. It has only happened a few times but it brought some startling sensations for me. I could feel an explosion of fluid emanating from somewhere around the head of my penis and then rushing outwards. That settled it for us once and for all. There was no way on earth this was urine and it was coming from somewhere approximately 5-6 inches inside her.

Recently there have been reports that this fluid may be coming from what is known as the Skene's glands and that this gland may or may not be present in a woman's body or may be located in different places but plain and simple doctors still don't know. There is also a lot of information on the web saying that female ejaculation can only happen from g-spot stimulation, another myth we have proven wrong. As mentioned before she orgasms at least once every time we have sex and 99% of the time she ejaculates through clitoral stimulation or oral sex. She also ejaculates from g-spot stimulation.

So at this point I'm sure you have a million questions, we will try to cover as many as possible here. If we missed a question please feel free to use our contact form so we can add it here.

How much fluid comes out during female ejaculation?

There is no set amount of fluid and we have found that the more water she drinks during the day (we are health nuts) the more she is able to ejaculate. If she is really dehydrated she produces next to nothing, if she had 5 or 6 glasses of water that day she is capable of literally soaking the bed. Of course each woman that ejaculates will have different amounts but if you currently do ejaculate try drinking a few glasses of water during the day and see if the amount increases.

What does she feel before and during ejaculation?

Many women, my wife included, tell of a pressure build as they become excited. Often women may mistake this pressure build up for the need to urinate and stop. Allowing yourself to ignore that feeling may lead to you being able to ejaculate. The pressure builds and builds as the excitement increases until finally there is a massive "release" and she ejaculates.

What is the consistency & taste of the fluid?

99% of the time the fluid is crystal clear, with little or no taste whatsoever having the same consistency as water. Every so often (we think during ovulation) it may have a slight acidic taste.

Is there really pressure when she ejaculates?

Not to be funny here but she has literally been able to "shoot across the room" when using her Hitachi Magic Wand. The only term I can even use to describe this is explosive. As I mentioned previously if she ejaculates while I am inside her the pressure will push me right out.

It is safe to swallow it?

As we have mentioned many times here we are not doctors but I am able to say I have been swallowing it for almost 15 years with no ill effects whatsoever. To quote Wikipedia: "The latest research indicates the possibility that all women produce female ejaculate, even if they are not aware of it. The expelled or released fluid is not urine, it is an alkaline liquid secreted by the paraurethral glands. The paraurethral glands produce an enzyme called prostatic acid phosphatase (PAP) and glucose (a sugar)"

Can every woman ejaculate?

According to most recent studies every woman MAY have the ability to ejaculate. The jury is still in on this one though.

How can I learn to ejaculate?

There really is no "road map" to learning to ejaculate. As with anything involved with sex you have to find your own path but she has several suggestions.

  1. Drink plenty of water (told you we were health nuts) it's good for you!
  2. Masturbate and explore your feelings during masturbation
  3. Allow your body to take over and do what it wants to. You may think you have to urinate but it may just be your body building up to ejaculate
  4. Explore your g-spot using some of the toys especially made for that
  5. Relax and don't try to force it to happen. Thinking about it may cause you to think yourself right out of it
  6. Just in case, have a towel or two handy!
