    Default Alienation of affection

I had no idea there was a legal term for adultery - alienation of affection. And check out this article where a woman won $10 million because her husband cheated.

That's so bizarre! I think cheating is a horribly cruel thing to do when a couple has an expectation of sexual loyalty (which isn't always the case, but usually is), but if anyone should be sued, it's the spouse - not the person with whom they cheated! I'm not convinced that this is an issue courts should ever touch, honestly.

I have to agree that the courts shouldn't get involved in affairs. The last thing we need is the law patrolling our bedrooms. Apparently that was an old and archaic law.
