    Default Sexualizing children

What do you think of Katie Price posting photos of her 2 year old daughter on facebook complete with false eyelashes and lipstick? I don't think I'd do that to one of my children or grandchildren, would you?

I think that is nothing better than having our teens watching movies and tv shows about teens indulging in sexual acts and getting pregnant

I used to like dressing up as a child but, as I recall, I still looked like a child and when I used my mum's makeup, I looked a mess, not like miniature glamour model!

This is really an issue these days I don't know about higher end department stores but places like walmart and target are selling clothes to make little girls look more grown up. I am sorry but my one year old does not need a bikini or a halter top. What are these companies thinking?

Oh I so agree. This angers me so much every time I read something new. Bras and high heels for 6 year olds! I mean, where are their brains?

A friend of ours has an 8 yr old daughter who went to the school sock hop. Her mom posted pics on facebook and I swear she had on more make-up than I wear for a special evening out. It's just ridiculous!

And what I don't like about is that some these parents are very protective with their children when it comes to dating early. This is the society that we lived in today and we just have to deal with it. I hope that our children won't be like that. Or should I say we should not be like those parents.

That's a good idea. I just wonder what their reaction would be after watching the movies. What if they think it's cool? You know, teens are often unpredictable. We are also unpredictable in our teen ages.

The eyelashes were the part were it went overboard for me. I know all kids play dress up, but not like that. My youngest gets peel off nail polish and thats about all, who would do this to a kiddo?
