Default Is "Sex addiction" a cop out?

I am surprised at the number of men who get caught out having affairs who then end up being treated at a clinic for "sex addiction". I mean, Tiger Woods, David Duchovni, Russell Brand, they've all been there. Isn't this just an excuse, a cop out, a way of saying, "it's not my fault, I have an addiction".

Well I agree with you, I think it's a way for them to say - please stay with me... I don't want you to take all my money when you divorce me for being a dog. It's sick really! All of a sudden it's coming out more often than not.

I think it's a cop-out too and I think their wives are CRAZY for staying with them. Take the money and run! Tiger had sex with how many women? Now Jesse James? Can you say LOSERS! It's one thing if it's an open relationship and their wives agree and know- this is just sick.
