As much as we tend to focus on sex it really shouldn't be the foundation of any marriage or even lasting relationship.

It seems to be more important when you are young and the hormones are raging but, in my case, that didn't last and the most important thing in my second marriage is friendship......that's not to say that the sex isn't important too!

I don't think it should be the foundation, but I do believe it is very important for most couples. There are exceptions to everything, but in my marriage sex plays a very big role. I feel so much closer to my husband when we regularly have sex. If we go more than a few days without sex we both start to get cranky, lol.

Sex is not everything, but everything is nothing without sex. What I mean with without is, yeah, without. If you still do it once a week, once a month or even once a year, that's not without sex.
