Default RolePlaying

I used to giggle at people who really got into roleplaying or when my partner would try to make it work, but as I've gotten older, it can actually be really fun....and hot. I still find it hard to "stay in character" sometimes, though, and end up ruining it. Any tips on how not to burst out into laughter?

Trying to keep a straight face sometimes is easier said that done. I dont know many that have stayed IC (in character) the entire time, sometimes thats where all the fun can be.

I used to do a lot of roleplaying in my pre-married days... with people other than my husband (not that we were together at the time, just previous lovers!). I do miss it, but husband is not interested much in role playing. Maybe if I just put on a costume or something and start acting....

I haven't gotten fully into the role playing yet. Mostly I've just worn a few outfits that he found to be an incredible turn on.

I started with a classic - naughty school girl.
Simple. But works.

I'm not sure what I want to try but I'm pretty open to any suggestions he has. I love acting too so it'll be interesting to see if I stay in character or not. I got a new pair of boots that my friends say look a bit like dominatrix boots so that lends to an idea

As for the laughter thing - I guess biting your tongue or the inside of your cheek. Try thinking of something really serious. If you think you're going to laugh, dont think about laughing or trying not to laugh. For me that tends to backfire. Just think of something completely unrelated and distract yourself.
